Candle/Lamp Oil Classification
Candle/lamp oil is classified as combustible—unlike petrol, which is flammable.
Candle/lamp oil cannot flash, flare, or spontaneously combust, as it requires a wick to
burn. Modern candle/lamp oil is a highly refined, clean-burning liquid form of solid
(paraffin) candle wax.
Candle/Lamp Oil Storage
Store candle/lamp oil in a secure, cool, and dry place, out of reach of children and
animals.
Pouring Candle/Lamp Oil
For precise pouring, use a small plastic spouted medicine cup or similar type vessel.
The smaller the vessel, the easier and more accurate the pour.
Warning: Candle/Lamp Oil
Safety Storage: Always store candle/lamp oil in a locked location, out of reach of
children and pets. Even a small sip of candle/lamp oil can cause fatal lung damage.
